We are privileged to welcome Mark Tennant to the fold. Mark is one of African’s leading wildlife guides and has been in the wildlife industry for over 35 years. He has travelled extensively and guided in over 11 countries. He has been involved in many interesting projects during his years in the wildlife arena – from research projects to the early development and establishment of luxury lodges, reintroduction of wildlife and doing the first live game drive interviews from his 4×4 in the bush.
Mark is an expert in animal behaviour (having lectured at Oxford University on this topic) and has spent many years observing their behaviour in their natural environment, even spending more than 6 years following a pack of wild dogs in Northern Botswana and 6 months tracking one leopard. Working for the vulture study group for 5 years, he has a great passion for birds and wherever he travels, his binocs are always close at hand. Other interests include frogs, butterflies, paleoanthropology and human origins. With a diploma in commercial art, he has an eye for photography and has won a number of local and international photographic awards over the years.
Today his focus is education and sharing his knowledge using video photography, tourism marketing and educational programmes.
He is called upon to assist in the production of wildlife documentaries having developed and featured in the Mad Mike & Mark TV series which was screened internationally on Animal Planet, dubbed into 20 languages and flighted in 167 countries.
